New Delhi , the 7th February 1968
G.S.R. 277. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section ( 1 ) of section 25 of the Customs Act . 1962 ( 52 of 1962 ) . the Central Government , being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do . hereby exempts all goods and material consigned to the Organisation for UNCTAD II or the UNCTAD II Secre- tariat for exclusive use at the UNCTAD II Conference , which is being held at New Delhi from the 1st February , 1968 to the 25th March , 1968 , from the whole of the duty of customs leviable thereon under the First Schedule to the Indian Tariff Act , 1934 ( 32 of 1934 ) and the additional duty leviable thereon under section 2A of the second mentioned Act , subject to the condition that the unconsumed portion of the said goods and material shall be re - exported within four months of the conclusion of the Conference or alternatively disposed of in India in accord . ance with such conditions as may be imposed by the Central Government .
