ORDER
New Delhi , the 9th February 1968
G.S.R. 284. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Essential Commodities Act , 1955 ( 10 of 1955 ) , the Central Government hereby makes the fol- lowing amendment in the Order of the Government of India in the Ministry of Food, Agriculture , Community Development and Cooperation ( Department of Food) No. G.S.R. 1111 , dated the 24th July , 1967 , namely: -
In the said Order ,
(1 ) in item ( 1 ) , the word " and " shall be omitted ;
( ii ) in item ( 2 ) , the word " and " shall be added at the end ;
( iii ) after item ( 2 ) , the following item shall be inserted, namely : - " ( 3 ) that in making an Order relating to any of the matters specified in the said clause ( j ) , the State Government shall authorise only an officer of Government . " .
