The following Order made by the President is published for general informa- tion:—

THE PUNJAB REORGANISATION (REMOVAL OF DIFFICULTIES) ORDER NO. 5 OF 1968

S.O. 814.-—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 96 of the Punjab Reorganisation Act, 1968 (31 of 1966), the President hereby makes the following Order, namely:—

1. (1) This Order may be called the Punjab Reorganisation (Removal of Difficulties) Order No. 5 of 1968.

(2) It shall come into force at once.

2. The expenditures specified in column (1) of the Table below aggregating Rs. 47,27,764.37 p. (Rupess forty-seven lakhs, twenty-seven thousand, seven hundred sixty-four and paise thirty-seven) met out of the advances from the Contingency Fund of the State of Punjab, as it existed immediately before the 1st November. 1966, pending authorisation of such expenditures by the Legislature ( 1 7 7) I 78 THE GAZ1TTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY [PA"T H~

of that State nnd remaining outstanding on the 31st October, 19flfl, are hereby authorised to be paid and applied from and out of the Consolidated Fund of the said State of Punjab for the services and purposes expressed In the corresponding entry In column (2) of the said Table; and the amount of the advance? so out- standing shall be oald Into the Contingency Fund by debit to the Consolidated Fund of tbo said State of Punjab in the accounts (flnnl) for the month of October, I960.
