S.O. 1292.- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- clause ( a ) of clause ( 1) of article 80 of the Constitution of India, read with clause ( 3 ) of that article , the President is pleased to nominate to the Council of States the following four persons namely:-
1. Shri Ganga Sharan Sinha
2. Dr K. Ramiah
3. Dr. Syed Nurul Hasan
4 Shri Joachim Alva
to fill the seats of the four nominated members to the Council of States retiring on the 2nd April , 1968 , on the expiration of their terms of office .

S.O. 1293. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - clause (a) of clause (1 ) of article 80 of the Constitution of India , read with clause ( 3 ) of that article , the President is pleased to nominate Shri G. Sankara Kurup to the Council of States to fill the seat which has fallen vacant due to resignation of Dr. D. R. Gadgil .
