S. O l295.-Whereas elections have been held in pursuance of the Notifications S.O. No. 925, dated the 8th March, 1968 and No. S.O. 940 dated the 11th March, 1968, issued under section 12 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), for the purpose of filling the scats of the members of the Council of States elected by the elected members of the Legislative Assem- blies of the States (except Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and West Bengal) and the members of the electoral colleges of the Union territories of Himachal Pradesh and Tripura, and retiring on the 2nd April, 1968 on the expiration of their term of office;
Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 71 of the said Act, the names of the members elected by the elected members of the Legislative Assemblies of the States (except Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and West Bengal) and the members of the electoral colleges, of the Union territories of Himachal Pradesh and Tripura and the names of the members nominated by the President under sub-clause (a) of clause (1) of article 80 of the Constitution are hereby notified for general infor- •tfMion:—
