New Delht , the 2nd April 1968
G.S.R. 683 - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub section ( 1 ) of section 25 of the Customs Act . 1962 ( 52 of 1962 ) , and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the late Ministry of Finance ( Department of Reve- nue ) No 13 - Customs ( S.R O. 264 ) dated 19th January 1957 , the Central Govern- ment, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do , hereby exempts ,
( i ) all goods other than block mica and skins of reptiles and wild animals ; and
(ii ) every consignment of samples or gifts of block mica and of skins of reptiles and wild animals the value of which does not exceed Rs . 50 , when exported by post from India, from the whole of the duty of Customs levi- able thereon under the Second Schedule to the Indian Tariff Act 1934 (32 of 1934) or under any other law in force .
