NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 2nd April 1966
S.O. 1053. Whereas elections have been held in pursuance of the notification dated the 9th March , 1966 , issued under section 12 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 ( 43 of 1951 ) , for the purpose of filling the seats of the mem- bers of the Council of States elected by the e'ected members of the Legislative Assemblies of the States ( except Jammu & Kashmir , Kerala and Nagaland) and the members of the electoral colleges of the Union Territories of Delhi and Manipur , and retiring on the 2nd April , 1966 on the expiration of their term of office;
Now, therefore , in pursuanace of section 71 of the said Act, the names of the members elected by the elected members of the Legislative Assemblies of the States ( except Jammu & Kashmir , Kerala and Nagaland ) , and the members of the electoral colleges of the Union Territories specified below , and the names of the members nominated by the President under sub - clause ( a ) of clause ( 1 ) of article 80 of the Constitution are hereby notified for general information : --
