SO. 3383.—Whereas, the Central Government is satisfied that in the public Interest it is necessary to make the following order:

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause (ix) of clause (a) of sub-section (1) of Section 2 of the Essential Services Maintenance Ordinance, 1968 (9 of 1968), the Central Government, being; of opinion that strikes in any service connected with—

(i) the supply of water,

(ii) conservancy and sewage disposal,in the Union-Territory of Delhi would result in the infliction of grave hardship on the community, hereby declares every such service to be an essential service for the purposes of the said Ordinance. [No. F 13/7( )/ 68-Est. (B).] ( 1031 )

87O. 3384.—fn exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3

of the Essential Services Maintenance Ordinance, 1968 (9 of 1968), the Central

Government hereby prohibits strikes In any service connected with—

(I) the supply of water,

(II) conservancy and sewage disposal,

in'the Union Territory of Delhi, declared by the notification of the Government

of |ndla, Ministry of Home Affairs, SO. 3383 dated, the 17th September, 1968 to

be an essential service for the purposes of the said Ordinance.
