IMPORT TRADE CONTROL
New Delhi , the 4th October 1968
SUBJECT : -Addressing of communications to the Import and Export Trade Con- trol Organisation .
No. 217 - ITC ( PN ) /68.-Attention is invited to paragraph 303 of the Import Trade Control Hand Book of Rules and Procedure , 1968 , wherein it has been stated that all communications addressed to the Import and Export Trade Control Organisation should contain the number and the date of the earlier reference received from the licensing authority concerned , the particulars of goods sought to be imported , the category of the Importer , the type of the licence or the appli- cation to which the reference pertains , i.c. , whether it relates to the grant of the licence or amendment or revalidation thereof or an appeal .
2. It has been noticed that a large number of communications are still being received from the importers without the required particulars as indicated above , with the result that further action thereon is delayed . Itis , therefore , reiterated that full pariculars of the case should be given in the communications addressed to the Import and Export Trade Control Organisation , in the absence of which it is difficult to give replies to the senders .
