S.O. 3519.—Whereas a vacancy hat. occurred in the House of the People by reason of the death of Shri Malimariyappa elected to that House from the Madhugiri Parliamentary Constituency in the State of Mysore;
Now, t h e r e u n d er in pursuance of the provisions of sub-section (1) of Section 14V of the Representation of the People Act, 1051 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission hereby calls upon the .said constituency to elect before the 18th November, 1968 in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the rules and orders made thereunder, a person to till the said vacancy

S.O. 3520.—In pursuance of the provisions of section 30 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission hereby appoints. with respect to the bye-election to be held in the Madhugiri Parliamentary Con- stituency in the Stale of Mysore in pursuance of its notification No 100/MY-HP/ 3/68(1), dated the 7th October 1968.—
fa) the 14th October, 1968 as the last date for making nominations (b) the 15th October 1968, as the date for the scrutiny of nominations; (c) the 17th October, 1968, as the last date for the withdrawal of candi-
datures.
(d) the 10th November. 1968, as the date on which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken; and

S.O 3522—In exercise oi the powera conferied by sub section (1) of section 22 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Com- mission hereby appoints in addition to the officer appointed by its notification No. 434/MY/67, dated the 29th August, 1967, the Assistant Commissioners of Madhugin and Chikballapur Sub-Divisions, to assist the Returnlns Officer for Madhuglrl Parliamentary Constituency in connection with the bye election to the House of the People to be held in pursuance of its notification No 100/MY-HP/ 3/68(1) dated the 7th October, 1968.
