NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 9th October 1968

GSR. 1846.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the President's Pension Act, 1951 (30 of 1951), the Central Government hereby makes the fol- lowing rules to amend the President's Pension (Maintenance of Secretarial Staff and Medical Attendance) Rules, 1962, namely: —

1. These rules may be called the President's Pension (Maintenance of Secre- tarial Staff and Medical Attendance) Amendment Rules, 1968.

2 In rule 3 of the President's Pension (Maintenance of Secretarial Staff and Medical Attendance) Rules, 1962 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), for the existing sub-rule (4) the following sub-rule shall be substituted, namely:.—

"(4) At the end of each year, a certificate to the effect that the amount so far drawn by the retired President has been expended for the pur- pose for which it had been drawn, shall be given—

(i) by the retired President in Form I, or(ii) by any person authorised by the retired President in this behalf in Form IA, appended to these rules.". ( 561 )

3. After Form I, appended to the said rules, the following Form shall be inserted, namely:—•

"FORM IA

[Form of certificate referred to in sub-rule (4) of rule 3] Certified that the amount of Rs. ~- (Rupees —

drawn by the retired President during the year ending 3lBt March 1 9— has been expended on the maintenance of his secretarial staff and the office expenses thereof.
