New Delhi, the 18th October 1968

SUBJECT:—Scheme for the licensing of cotton yarn and cotton textiles for export to the U-K. during the licensing year 1968.

No. PN(UK. Licensing)/I of 1968 — Attention Is invited to the Public Notice No P.N.(UK. Licensing)/2 of 1967 dated the 30th November, 1967

2. It has been decided to add the following as sub-paragraph (b) to paragraph 4 of the Public Notice referred to above.

4(b) In the case of Air Consignments, submission of export certificates as prescribed, to the licensing authorities, at the time of grant of licence shall be in triplicate. The triplicate of the export certificate duly certified by the Export Control Licensing Authorities at the port shall be retained by them and immediately forwarded by them to the Cot- ton Textiles Export Promotion Council for onward transmission to the U.K. Board of Trade. The original and the duplicate of the export certificates shall. in the usual manner, be handed over to the expor- ters concerned for further processing in the Indian Customs and for despatch in the manner prescribed in paragraph 4 of the Public Notice No P.N. The duplicate copy of the export certificate authenticated by the customs will benr the stamp "duplicate'' in rod ink embossed on it by the customs-
