ORDER
New Delhi , the 11th November 1968
G.S.R. 2022. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act , 1955 (10 of 1955 ) , the Central Government hereby makes the following Order further to amend the Foodgrains Movement Restrictions ( Exemp- tion of Certified Seeds ) Order , 1966 , namely :-
1. ( 1) This Order may be called the Foodgrains Movement Restrictions ( Exemp- tion of Certified Seeds) Third Amendment Order , 1968 .
(2) It shall come into force at once .
2. In the Foodgrains Movement Restrictions Order , 1966 ,- (Exemption of Certified Seeds )
(a) in sub-clause ( 1 ) of clause 1 , the word " Certified " shall be omitted ;
(b) after clause 3 , the following clause shall be inserted , namely :-
"4. Power of Central Government and State Governments to permit move- ment of seeds otther than certified seeds . Notwithstanding anything contained in the Orders specified in the Schedule below , the Cen- tral Government , or a State Government with the approval of the Central Government , may , by order in writing , permit the movement of any seed (not being certified seed ) subject to such restrictions and nditions ( includinggrestrictions and conditions as to quantity , period , place of despatch , method of packing or labelling and desti- nation station ) as may be specified in the order. " .
