SUBJECT;—Import policy for 'Dyeing and tanning substances, all sorts, not otherwise specified, excluding wattle extracts and the articles specified in S No, 5/V of I-T.C. Schedule falling under S. No. 6/V—April 1968— March 1969 period.

No. 245-ITC(PN)/68.—Attention is invited to Ministry of Commerce Import Trade Control Order No. 2/68, dated the 20th March, 1968, in terms of which import of •Dyeing and tanning substances, all sorts, not otherwise specified, excluding wattle extracts and the articles specified in S. No. 5/V of I.T.C. Schedule' (S. No. 6/V) was permitted to be Imported under the Open General Licence No. LXXXIV up to 30th September, 1968.

2. It has now been decided to allow the Import of this item to actual users. The existing entries shown against S. No. 6/V, in Section II of the Import Trade Control Policy (Red Book—Vol. I) for April 1968—March 1969 may be deemed to have been amended accordingly.
