S.O. 4379—Whereas by the Order of the Government of India in the late Ministry of Commerce and Industry No. S.O. 1718 dated the 11th July, 1960 read with the Order of the Government of India in the late Ministry of Commerce and industry No. S.O. 1932 dated the 11th July, 1963, and the Order of the Government of India in the late Ministry of Industry and Supply No. S.O, 2216 dated the 10th July, 1965 and Ministry of Industry No. S.O. 2001 dated the 30th June, 1966, and the Ministry of Industrial Development and Company Affairs (Department of Industrial Development) No. SO. 2297 dated the 10th July, 1967 and No. S.O. 3688 dated the 10th October, 1967 and No. S.O. 216 dated the 10th January, 1968 and No. S.O. 1338 dated the 10th April, 1968 and No. S.O. 2070 dated the 10th June 1968 and No. S.O. .1278 dated the 10th September, 1968, and No. S.O. 3890 dated the 31st October, 1968, and No. S.O. 3973 dated the 11th November, 1968, and No. S.O 4100 dated the 15th November, 1968, and No, S.O. 4200 dated the 19th November, 1968 and No. S.O. 4208 dated the 27th November, 1968, the manage ment of the undertaking known as the India Electric Works Ltd., Calcutta has been taken over and continued to be managed for the period upto the 2nd Decem ber, 1968.

And whereas the Central Government is of the opinion that it is expedient in' the public interest that the management of the said undertaking should be continued upto and inclusive of 9th December, 1968. (1389 ) i;39O THE GAZETTE Of INDIA EXTRAORDINARY [PAHT II-SEC. 3 (li))

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Sub-Sec- tion (2) oi Section 1GA of the Industries (Development and Regulation) Act. 1951 (65 of 1951), the Central Government hereby directs that the Order first mentioned above- shall continue to have effect for a further period upto and inclusive oi 9th December, 1963.
