No. 267-ITC/(PN)/68—Attention is invited to the Import Policy for Registered Exporters contained in Volume II. of the Import Trade Control Policy Book (Red Book) for the year April, 1968—March, 1969, issued under the Ministry of Commerce Public Notice No. 50-ITC(PN)/68, dated 1st April, 1968.

2. In terms of Public Notice No. 204/ITC(PN)/68, dated 19th September, 1968, the items "Brass motor car and truck horns" and "Brass lamps'' were inter alia classified under S. No. H. 1.2 under the product Group "H. HANDICRAFTS". Since this classification involves change/reduction in the scale of assistance of import replenishment, the decision conveyed in the above Public Notice for the above said items will take effect from the date of issue of the said Public Notice i.e., with effect from 19th September, 1968. No. 268-ITC(PN)/68—Attention is invited to the Import Policy for Re- gistered Exporters contained in Volume II of the Import Trade Control Policy Book (Red Book) for the year April, 1968—March, 1969, issued under the Minis- try of Commerce, Public Notice No. 50-ITC(PN)/68, dated the 1st April, 1968-

2. The entry "Electrical Contacts made of silver (used as components in motor starters)—A. 46.1" appearing on page xii of the index of the Red Book was substituted by "Electrical Contacts made of silver alloy (used as components in electric control gear and switch gear A. 46.1", vide para 2 of Public Notice No. 157^ITC(PN)/68, dated 30th July, 1968. The amended entry now be sub- stituted by "Electrical Contacts made of silver alloy, containing less than 60 per cent, silver (used as Components in electric Control scar and switch gear)—A 46.1".
