SUBJECT . Import policy for the period April 1968-March 1969.
No. 279 - ITC ( PN ) / 68 . Attention of importers is invited to the import policy as contained in the Import Trade Control Policy ( Red Book- Vol . I ) for the period April '68-March '69 .
2. As a result of the representations received , the import policy in respect of certain items has been reviewed and it has been decided to make the following amendments in the Import Trade Control Policy ( Red Book - Vol . I ) for the period April '68-March '69 : -

No. 280 - ITC ( PN ) /68.-Attention is invited to the Import Policy for Registered Exporters contained in Volume II of the Import Trade Control Policy Book (Red Book) for the year April 1968-March 1969 issued under the Ministry of Com- merce Public Notice No. 50 - ITC ( PN ) /68 dated 1st April 1968.
(2) The item " Filling axe " mentioned at Serial No. 1 under the Heading "A. ENGINEERING GOODS" of para 3 of Pubic Notice No. 247 - ITC ( PN ) / 68 dated 15th November 1968 may be amended to read as "Felling axe" .
( 3 ) The item " Lac ear - rings , rings , studded with glass chatons , glass heads and mirror pieces has been classified under the product groups B. CHEMICALS AND ALLIED PRODUCTS " andand falls under No. B. 48.5 . This alphabetically in the Index of the above Red Book under the said product Group.
