S.O. 4653. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section ( 2) of section 1 of the Madras State (Alteration of Name ) Act, 1968 ( 53 of 1968 ) , the Central Government hereby appoints the 14th day of January , 1969 , as the date on which the said Act shall come into force .
