New Delhi , the 1st January 1969
S.O. 69. Whereas a vacancy has occurred in the House of the People by reason of the resignation of Shrimati Vijaya Lakshmi Pandit, elected to that House from 55- Phulpur parliamentary constituency in the State of Uttar Pradesh ;
Now, therefore , in pursuance of the provisions of sub - section ( 1 ) of section 149 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 ( 43 of 1951 ) , the Election Commission hereby calls upon the said constituency to elect before the 14th February , 1969 , in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the Rules and Orders made thereunder , a person to fill the vacancy so caused .

In pursuance of the provisions of section 30 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission hereby appoints , with respect to the bye- election to be held in 55 - Phulpur parliamentary constituency in the State of Uttar Pradesh in pursuance of its notification No. 100 / UP - HP / 3 / 68 ( 1 ) , dated the 1st January, 1969.- (a) the 8th January , 1969 , as the last date for making nominations ;
(b ) the 9th January , 1969 , as the date for the scrutiny of nominations ;
(c) the 11th January , 1969 , as the last date for the withdrawal of candidatures ;
(d) the 5th February , 1969 , as the date on which a poll shall , if necessary , be taken; and
(e) the 14th February , 1969 , as the dute before which the election shall be completed .

S.O. 71 .-- In pursuance of section 56 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission hereby fixes the hours from 8-00 a.m. to 5-00 p.m. as the hours during which a poll shall , if necessary be taken for the election to the House of the People from 55 -Phulpur parliamentary constituency to be held in pursuance of its notification No. 100 /UP -HP / 3 / 68 ( 1 ) , dated the 1st January, 1969.

एस ० श्रो ० 72.-यतः उत्तर प्रदेश राज्य में के 55- फूलपुर संसदीय निर्वाचन क्षेत्र से निर्वाचित श्रीमती विजय लक्ष्मी पण्डित के त्याग पत्र दे दिए जाने के कारण लोक सभा में एक स्थान रिक्त हो गया है ;
अतः अब, लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 ( 1951 का 43) की धारा 149 की उप- धारा ( 1 ) के उपबन्धों के अनुसरण में निर्वाचन आयोग उक्त निर्वाचन क्षेत्र से एतदद्वारा यह अपेक्षा करता है कि वह ऐसे हुई रिक्ति को भरने के लिए , उक्त अधिनियम तथा तवधीन बनाए गए नियमों और आदेशों के उपबन्धों के अनसार . एक व्यक्ति 14 फरवरी , 1969 से पूर्व निर्वाचित करे :

एस ० ओ ० 73.-लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 की धारा 30 के उपबन्धों के अनुसरण में , निर्वाचन आयोग अपनी अधिसूचना संख्या 100 / उ ० प्र ० -लो० स ०/ 3/ 68 ( 1 ) , दिनांक 1 जनवरी , 1969 के अनुसरण में उत्तर प्रदेश राज्य में के 55 - फूलपुर संसदीय निर्वाचन क्षेत्र में होने बाले उप-निर्वाचन के बारे में :-
(क) नामनिर्देशन करने के लिए अन्तिम तारीख , 8 जनवरी , 1969 ;
(ख ) नामनिर्देशनों की संवीक्षा की तारीख , 9 जनवरी , 1969 ;
( ग ) अभ्यथिता वापस लेने के लिए अन्तिम तारीख , 11 जनवरी , 1969 ;
( घ ) वह तारीख जिसकों यदि आवश्यक हो, तो मतदान होगा, 5 फरवरी , 1969 ; तथा
( ङ ) वह तारीख जिसके पूर्व निर्वाचन समाप्त कर दिया जाएगा , 14 फरवरी , 1969 ; एतद् द्वारा नियत करता है ।

के लिए 8 बजे पूर्वाष्त्र से 5 बजे अपराह्न तक का समय उस समय के रूप में एतद्वारा नियत करता है जिसके दौरान मतदान , यदि आवश्यक हो तो, होगा ।
