ORDER
New Delhi , the 6th January 1969
G.S.It. 44.-In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act , 1955 ( 10 of 1955 ) , the Central Government hereby makes the following Order further to amend the Madhya Pradesh Rice Procurement ( Levy) Order , 1960 , namely:
1. This Order may be called the Madhya Pradesh Rice Procurement ( Levy ) Amendment Order , 1969.
2. In clause 2 of the Madhya Pradesh Rice Procurement ( Levy ) Order , 1960 , for sub - clause ( c) , the following sub - clause shall be substituted, namely :-
' ( c) "Purchase Officer " means,--
( 1 ) the Food Corporation of India, established under the Food Corpora- tions Act, 1964 ( 37 of 1964 ) , in respect of rice mills not run by registered co - operative societies ;
( ii ) such authority as may be appointed in this behalf by the Government of Madhya Pradesh , in respect of rice mills run by registered co- operative societies; ' .
