CUSTOMS
New Delhi , the 7th January , 1969
G.6.R. 91 - In exercise of the powers conferred by clause ( c ) of section 11H of the Customs Act , 1962 ( 52 of 1962 ) , the Central Government ,Government , having regard to the vulnerability to smuggling of the area mentioned in the Schedule hereto annexed , hereby specifies the said area as specified area for the purposes of the said Act .
THE SCHEDULE
The inland area fifty kilometres in width from the coast of India falling within the territories of the State of Madras and the Union territory of Pondicherry .
