NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 9th January 1969
S.O. 168.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Export (Quality Control and Inspection). Act, 1963 (22 of 1963), and after previous pub- lication as required by sub-rule (2) of rule 11 of the Export (Quality Control and Inspection) Rules, 1964, the Central Government hereby makes the follow- ing amendments to the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Commerce No. SO. 771 dated the 6th March, 1965, namely: —
In the said notification—
(1) in the Annexure. under'the heading "(B) SPECIFICATIONS FOR PRAWNS (SHRIMPS) CANNED IN BRINE OR DRY PACKED", after serial number (ix) and the entries relating thereto, the follow- ing shall be inserted, namely:—•
"(x) The cans shall be embossed with the markings of size grade, drain- ed weight, name of the manufacturer or his factory code, year, month and batch of manufacturer. An illustration for embossing the cans in the abbreviated form is given below:

Y stands for the batch number of manufacture during the year 1968".;
(ii) after Note (3). the following Note shall be added, namely: —
"(4) For the purpose of denoting the size, grade and the drained weight, the followfne nomenclature shall be followed:
