NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 10th January 1969
S.O. 169. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 of the Export (Quality Control and Inspection ) Act , 1963 ( 22 of 1963 ) and after previous pub- lication as required by sub - rule ( 2 ) of rule 11 of the Export ( Quality Control and Inspection ) Rules , 1964 , the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment to the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Com- merce No. S.O. 1616 , dated the 7th May , 1968 , namely : --
In the Annexure to the said notification , under the heading "A. Specification for refills " , for clause 5 , the following clause shall be substituted , namely: - "5. The thermal shock resistance of the refill shall be considered adequate if the refill suffers no damage when subject to the following test:
Pour water at 27 ° ± 2 ° C upto the neck of the refill and allow to stand for 3 minutes. Empty the refill and pour boiling water ( 100 C) immediately and allow to stand for 3 minutes . Empty the refill and pour water at 27 ° 2° C immediately and allow to stand for 3 minutes . The time for pouring water in and out shall not exceed 15 seconds in each case . "
