G.S.R. No. 140.- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 1 ) of section 25 of the Customs Act , 1962 ( 52 of 1962 ) , the Central Government , being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do , hereby makes the following further amend- ment in the notification of the Government of India , in the Ministry of Finance ( Depart- ment of Revenue and Insurance ) , G.S.R. 1173 ( No. 89 / F . No. 6 / 26 / 68 - Cus . I ) dated the 19th June , 1968 namely: -
In the Table annexed to the said notification , in column 2 headed " Description of article " , in item No. ( ii ) against Sl . No. 4 , for the letters and figures " Rs . 1,500 " , the letters and figures " Rs . 1,250 " shall be substituted .
