CUSTOMS

New Delhi, the 19th February 1969

G.S.R. 443—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section

25 of the Customs Act, 1982 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied

that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts atomic fuel

elements, when imported into India for atomic power stations from so much of

the duty of customs leviable thereon under the Indian Tariff Act, 1934 (32 of 1934)

as is in excess of 27½ per cent ad valorem.
