No. EB / 68 / NE - NF / Divin. It is hereby notified for general information that the existing operating districts of the Northeast Frontier Railway will be upgraded as under :
Jurisdiction
Headquarters
over the This will be a division under the charge of a Divisional Superintendent with territorial jurisdiction existing Katihar operating district .
This will be a division under the charge of a Divisional ( 2) Alipurduar
Superintendent with territorial jurisdiction over the existing Alipurduar operating district.
( 3) Lunding
This will be a division under the charge of a Divisional Superintendent with territorial jurisdiction over the existing Lumding operating district . The Divisional Superintendent , Lumding will also be incharge of depart- ments other than Commercial , Operating and Mechanical of the area now constituting the Tinsukia operating district

(4) Tinsukia
This will be under the charge of an Administrative Officer designated as Divisional Superintendent ( Transportation ) who will be responsible for the Commercial , Operating and Mechanical Engineering departments of the area at present constituting the Tinsukia operating district .
2. The divisionalisation of the Northeast Frontier Railway will be implemented in stages from dates to be notified later .
No. EB / 68 / NE - NF / Divin . It is hereby notified for general information that the North Eastern Railway will switch over to the divisional pattern of working , the existing districts of the Railway being regrouped into divisions as under:

Existing Fatehgarh and Izatnagar districts .
Existing Lucknow and Gonda districts .
(2 ) Lucknow
( 3 ) Varanasi
Existing Varanasi district and Sonepore district excluding the Chupra Kacheri ( exclusive )-Sonepore- Barauni Jn. and Hajipur- Muzaffarpore sections .
(4) Samastipur
Existing Samastipur and Katihar West districts and the Muzaffarpore- Hajipur and Barauni Jn.--Sonepore- Chupra Kacheri ( exclusive ) sections of the existing Sonepore district .
2. The divisionalisation scheme of the North Eastern Railway will be imple- mentet in stages from dates to be notified later .

सं ० ई बी/ 68 / एन ई एन एफ/ डिबीजमना जशन सर्वसाधारण की जानकारी के लिये यह अधिसूचित किया जाता है कि पूर्वोत्तर सीमा रेलवे के वर्तमान परिवहन जिलों का दर्जा निम्न रूप बढ़ा दिया आयेगा: -
प्रधान कार्यालय
अधिकार-क्षेत्र
1. कटिहार
यह मंडल अधीक्षक के अधीन एक मंडल होगा जिसके प्रादेशिक क्षेत्राधिकार में वर्तमान कटिहार परिवहन जिला होगा ।
2. अलीपुर दुआ र
यह मंडल अधीक्षक के अधीन एक मंडल होगा जिसके प्रादेशिक क्षेत्राधिकार में वर्तमान अलीपुर दुआार परिवहन जिला होगा ।
3. लडिंग
यह मंडल अधीक्षक के अधीन मंडल होगा जिसके प्रादेशिक क्षेत्राधिकार में वर्तमान लमडिंग परिवहन जिला होगा । मंडल अधीक्षक, लमडिंग वर्तमान तिनसुफिया परिवहन जिले के मौजूदा क्षेत्र के वाणिज्य परिवहन और यांत्रिक इंजोनियरी विभागों से भिन्न विभागों का भी इंचार्ज होगा ।

4. तिनसुकिया
यह प्रशासनिक अधिकारी के अधीन होगा जिसे मंडल अधीक्षक (परिवहन) कहा जायेगा और जो वर्तमान तिनसुकिय . परिवहन जिले के मौजूदा क्षेत्र के वाणिज्य, परिवहन और यांत्रिक इंजीनियरी विभागों के लिये उत्तरदायी होगा ।
2. पूर्वोत्तर सीमा रेलवे का मंडलीकरण चरणों में और उन तारीखों को लागू होगा जो बाद में अधिसूचित की जायेंगी ।

सं ० ईबी/ 68 / एन ई- एन एफ/ डिवीजनलाइजेशन सर्व साधारण की जानकारी के लिए यह अधिसूचित किया जाता है कि पूर्वोत्तर रेलवे में मंडल प्रणाली पर काम किया जायेगा और पूर्वोत्तर रेलबे के बर्तमान जिलों का पुनर्वर्गीकरण मंडल के रूप में इस प्रकार होगा :--

वर्तमान फतेहगढ़ जिला और प्राइजटनगर जिला ।
2. लखनऊ
वर्तमान लखनऊ जिला और गोंडा जिला ।

वर्तमान वाराणसी जिला और सोनपुर जिला , छपरा कचहरी ( को छोड़ कर)-सोनपुर- बरौनी जंकशन और हाजीपुर- मुजफ्फरपुर खण्ड को छोड़ कर ।
4. समस्तीपुर
वर्तमान समस्तीपुर जिला और कटिहार पश्चिम जिला और सोनपुर जिले के मुजफ्फरपुर -हाजीपुर भौर बरौनी जंकशन- सोनपुर- छपरा कचहरी ( छोड़ कर ) खण्ड ।
2. पूर्वोत्तर रेलवे की मंडल प्रणाली योजना चरणों में जिन तारीखों को लागू होगी वे बाद में अधिसूचित की जायेंगी ।
