INCOME - TAX
New Delhi , the 20th March 1969
S.O 1161. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 280W of the Income- tax Act , 1961 ( 43 of 1961 ) , the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the Annuity Deposit Scheme , 1966 , namely:-
In paragraph 4 of the Annuity Deposit Scheme , 1966 , in sub-paragraph ( 2 ) , after the words " the specifled date " , the words :
"or within such extended time as the Income - tax Officer may , in his dis- cretion, allow in a case where he is satisfied that the depositor was prevented by good and sufficient reasons from making the application on or before the specified date "
shall be . and sha'l be deemed always to have been , inserted
