CENTRAL EXCISES
New Delhi, the 22nd March 1969
G.S.R. 853 —In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-item (i) of Item No. 3 of the First Schedule to the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944) and rule 96F of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 23/62-Central Excises, dated the 24th April, 1962, namely: —
In the said notification—
(i) in the table for the entries in the third column against zone I, the figures "25" shall be substituted;
(ii) the following further proviso shall be added at the end, namely: —
"Provided further that irrespective of the zone of production, the rate of duty leviable on 'Green Tea' shall be 10 paise per kilogram".
