New Delhi, the 26th March 1969
G.S.R. 881.—In exercise of the powers conferred by clauses (a) and (c)
of sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Public Employment (Requirement BE to
Residence) Act, 1957 (44 of 1957), the Centra] Government hereby makes the
following rules to amend the Andhra Pradesh Public Employment (Requirement
as to Residence) Rules, 1959, namely:—
1. These rules may be called the Andhra Pradesh Public Employment (Require-
ment as to Residence) Amendment Rules, 1988.
2. in the Andhra Pradesh Public Employment (Requirement as to Residence)
Rules, 1959.-
(i) in rule 3, for the words "local authority", the words, "local or other
authority" shall be substituted; and

1. These rules may be called the Himachal Pradesh, Manipur and Tripura Public Employment (Requirement as to Residence) Amendment Rules, 1969.
2. In tha Himachal Pradesh, Manipur and Tripura Public Employment (Requirement as to Residence) Rules, 1959.—•
(i) In rule 3, for the words "local authority", the words "local or other authority" shall be substituted; and
"
(ii) in item (c) of the First Schedule, for the words "local authority", the words "local or other authority" shall be substituted.

G.SJt. 883.—In exercise of the powers conferred by clauses (b) and (c) of sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Public Employment (Requirement aa to Resi- dence) Act, 1957 (44 of 1957), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely;—
1. Short title.—These rules may be called the Himachal Pradesh (Transferred Territories) Public Employment (Requirement as to Residence) Pules, 1969.
2. Application of HLmachal Pradesh, Manipur and Tripura Public Employment (Requirement as to Residence) Rules, 1959 to the transferred territories of Hima- chal Pradesh —The Himachal Pradesh, Manipur and Tripura Public Employment (Requirement as to Residence) Rules, 1959, as amended by the Hivoachal Pradesh, Manipur and Tripura Public Employment (Requirement as to Residence) Amend- ment Rules, 1969, shall, mutatis mutandis, apply to the territories transferred from the former State of Punjab to the Union Territory of Himachal Pradesh under sub-spction (1) of section 5 of the Punjab Reorganisation Aci, 1966 (31 of 1966).
