S.O. 1235.—In pursuance of auction 67 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (4J of 1931), the following declaration containing the name of the candidate elected to fill the vacancy in the Council of States is published for general information:

Legislative Assembly.
"In pursuance of the provisions contained In Section 66 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 read with Clause (a) of sub-rule (1) of Rule 84 of the Conduct of Election Rules, 1961, I declare that Shri Gurcharan Singh, Village Taura, P.O. Dhakaunda, District Patiala has been duly elected to fill the vacancy In the Council of States caused by the death of Shri Anup Singh.
