New Delhi , the 1st April 1969
G.S.R. 918. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 1 ) of sec- tion 25 of the Customs Act , 1962 ( 52 of 1962 ) , the Central Government , being satisfled that it is necessary in the public interest so to do , hereby directs that the following amendment shall be made in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance ( Department of Revenue and Insurance) No 69 - Customs , dated the 15th June , 1968 , namely : -
In the said notification , for the figures and words '40 per cent " the figures and words " 50 per cent " shall be substituted .
