New Delhi , the 13th May 1969
G.S.R. 1191. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 7 of the Indian Post Office Act , 1898 ( 6 of 1898 ) , the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Indian Post Office Rules , 1933 , namely:-
1 ( 1 ) These rules may be called the Indian Post Office ( Fourth Amend- ment ) Rules , 1969 .
( 2 ) They shall come into force on the 15th May , 1969 .
2. In rule 1 of the Indian Post Office Rules , 1933 , for the entries under the heading " Registered Newspapers " , the following entries shall be substitutea , namely :-
"In the case of a single copy of a Registered Newspaper :-
2 paise For a weight not exceeding sixty grams
5 paise For a weight exceeding sixty grams and not exceeding one hundred grams

10 paise For a weight exceeding one hundred grams and not exceeding two hundred and fifty grams
5 palse For every two hundred and fifty grams or fraction thereof , exceeding two hundred and fifty grams
In the case of more than one copy of the same Issue of a Registerea Newspaper being carried in the same packet :-
5 paise For a weight not exceeding one hundred grams
For every additional one hundred and fifty grams or fraction thereof , exceeding one hundred grams
5 paise

G.S.R. 1192.- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 7, 16 , 28 and 74 of the Indian Post Office Act , 1898 ( 6 of 1898 ) , the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Indian Post Office Rules , 1933 , namely :-
1. ( 1 ) These rules may be called the Indian Post Office ( Fifth Amendment) Rules, 1969.
(2) They shall come into force on the 15th May . 1969
2. In the Indian Post Office Rules , 1933 ,-
( 1) in rule 59 , for the figures and word " 70 paise " , the figures and word " 75 paise " shall be substituted ;
(2) in rule 194 , in the entry under the heading " Registration Envelopes " , for the figures and word " 90 paise " , the figures and word " 95 paise " shall be substituted .

सा ० का ० ति०1193--भारतीय डाकघर अधिनियम , 1898 ( 1898 का 6 ) की धार। 7 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए , केन्द्रीय सरकार भारतीय डाकघर नियम , 1923 में अति- रिक्त संशोधन करने के लिये एतद् द्वारा निम्नलिखित नियम बनाती है , अर्थात्-
1. ( 1 ) ये नियम भारतीय डाकघर ( चौथा संशोधन ) नियम , 1969 कहे जा सकेंगे ।
( 2) ये नियम 15 मई , 1969 को लागू हो जायेगे ।
2. भारतीय डाकघर नियम , 1933 के नियम 1 में " रजिस्ट्रीतून समाचार पत्र " गीत हे THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY

अन्तर्गत आने वाली प्रविष्टियों के लिये निम्नलिखित प्रविष्टियां प्रतिस्थापित की जायेंगी , श्रर्थात्--
"किसी रजिस्ट्रीकृत समाचार पत्त्र की एक ही प्रति की दशा में--
2 पैसे साठ ग्राम से अनधिक वजन के लिये
5 पैसे साठ ग्राम से अधिक और एक सौ ग्राम से अनधिक वज़न के लिये
10 पैसे एक सौ ग्राम से अधिक और दो सौ पचास ग्राम से अनधिक वज़न के लिय
5 पैमे दो सौ पचास ग्राम से अधिक होने पर, प्रत्येक दो सौ पचास ग्राम या उसके किसी अंश के लिये
किसी रजिस्ट्रीकृत समाचार पत्नत्र के एक ही अंक की एक से अधिक प्रतिलिपियो के एक ही पैकिट मे ले जाने पर-
5 पैसे एक सौ ग्राम से अनधिक बज्रन के लिये
एक सौ ग्राम से अधिक होने पर , प्रत्येक अतिरिक्त एक सौ पचास
5 पैसे ग्राम या उसके किसी अंश के लिये

सा ० फा ० ति०1194. भारतोय डाकघर अधिनियम , 1898 ( 1898 का 6 ) की धारायें 7 , 16 , 28 और 74 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियो का प्रयोग करते हुये , केन्द्रीय सरकार भारतीय डाकघर नियम , 1933 में अतिरिक्त संशोधन करने के लिये एनद् द्वारा निम्नलिखित नियम बनाती है , अर्थात्--
1. ( 1 ) ये नियम भारतीय डाकघर ( पांचवां संशोधन ) नियम , 1969 कहे जा सकेंगे ।
( 2) ये 15 मई , 1969 को लागू होंगे ।
2. भारतीय डाकघर नियम , 1933 में-
( 1) नियम 59 मे , अंक और शब्द " 70 पैसे " के लिये , अंक और शब्द " 75 पैसे " प्रति- स्थापित किये जायेगे ;
(2) नियम 194 मे, " रजिस्ट्री लिकाते" शीर्षक के अन्तर्गत आने वाली प्रविष्टि में अक और शब्द " 90 पसे " के लिये अंक और शब्द " 95 पसे " प्रतिस्थापित किये जायेगे ।
