NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 21st April 1969
S.O. 1585.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 28 of the Repre- sentation of the People Act, 1950 (43 of 1950), the Central Government, after consulting the Election Commission, hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960, namely:—
1. Short title.—These rules may be called the Registration of Electors (Amend- ment) Rules, 1969.
?. Amendment of rule 28.—In rule 28 of the Registration of Electors Rules,
(1) in the heading, the words "in municipal areas" shall be omitted; and (ii) in sub-rule (1), for the words "any such constituency in municipal areas", the following words shall be substituted, namely:—
"any such constituency or part thereof".
