NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 28th April 1969
G.S.R. 1079.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 7 of the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885 (13 of 1885), the Central Government hereby makes the follow- ing rules further to amend the Indian Telegraph Rules, 1951, namely:—
1; (1) These rules may be called the Indian Telegraph (Ninth Amendment) Rules, 1969.
(2) They shall come into, force on the 1st May, 1969.
2. In the Indian Telegraph Rules, 1951 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), in rule 434—
(a) in Section III "Scale of charges for departmental exchange connections", in clause (i) relating to connections within the local area,
(1) in the Table under "(a) Measured rate system", for the figures "75" and "60", the figures "90" and "75" shall respectively be substituted;
(ii) in the Table under "(b) Flat rate system—all other exchanges", for the
320 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY [PART If—SEC. 3(i)l (b) in Section VII, "Casual and Temporary Installations", In clause (1), in sub-clause (a),— (i) for the figures "25", "50" and "100", the figures "30". "SO" and "120"shall respectively be substituted;
(ii) under the heading ''Flat Rate Exchanges", for the words, letters and figures "Rental of Rs. 2.50 per day subject to a minimum of Rs. 25/-", the words, letters and figures "Rental of Rs. 3.00 per day subject to a minimum of Rs. 30" shall be substituted;
3. In rule 451 of the said rules, in paragraph D, "Additional charges to be levied for special service", under the second column relating to "Rate", for the words . "The additional charge for the particular person facility appropriate to the basic trunk charge shall be as follows , and the Table occurring thereunder, the follow- ing shall be substituted, namely:—
"The additional charge for a particular person facility shall be 50 percent of the trunk charge for unit call of ordinary category.".
