New Delhi , the 24th August 1969
8.0 . 3394 Shri Varahagiri Venkata Giri having been elected as President of the Republic of India takes his seat as President of India under a salute of 31 guns.
ORDER. Ordered that the following Proclamation be published in the Gazette of India: -
PROCLAMATION
Whereas Shri Varahagiri Venkata Giri has been elected to be the President of the Republic of India and has assumed the said office , the said appointment is hereby notified.
ORDER Ordered that the Proclamation be sent for information to the Principal Military Stations.

का ० प्रा ० 3395.-भारत गणतंत्र के राष्ट्रपति निर्वाचित होने के पश्चात् श्री बाराङ्गिरि वेंकट गिरि इकतीस तोपों की सलामी के साथ , भारत के राष्ट्रपति का पद ग्रहण करते हैं ।
श्रवेश: आदेश दिया जाता है कि निम्नलिखित उद्घोषणा भारत के राजपत्न में प्रकाशित की जाये:-
उद्घोषणा
यतः श्री वाराहृगिरि वेंकट गिरि भारत गणतंत्र के राष्ट्रपति चुन लिये गये हैं तथा उन्होंने उक्त पद ग्रहण कर लिया है अतः उक्त नियुक्ति एतद्वारा अधिसूचित की जाती है ।
आदेश: -आदेश दिया जाता है कि उद्घोषणा सूचनार्थ प्रमुख सैनिक केन्द्रों को भेज दी जाये ।
भादेश दिया जाता है कि उद्घोषणा की एक प्रति तथा पूर्वोक्त आदेशों की प्रतियां निम्न- लिखित को सूचनार्थ भेजी जाये जहां से यथोचित आदेश तुरन्त जारी किये जायें :--
