New Delhi , the 12th September 1969
SO. 3748. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 72 of the Punjab Reorganisation Act , 1966 ( 31 of 1966 ) and of all other powers enabling it in this behalf , the Central Government hereby directs that the Punjab University con- stituted under the Punjab University Act , 1947 ( East Punjab Act 7 of 1947 ) , shall cease to function and operate in the areas of districts of Patiala , Sangrur , Bhatinda and Rupar in the State of Punjab .

का ० प्रा ० 3749.- पजाब पूनर्गठन अधिनियम , 1966 ( 1966 के 31 खण्ड 72 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियो के प्रयोग मे तथा इ। सम्बन्ध में इ। सभी अन्य शक्त्तियो से समर्थ बनाते हुए , एतदद्वारा केन्द्रीय सरकार निदेश देनी है कि पत्र ब विश्वविद्यालय अधिनियम , 1947 ( 1947 के पूर्वी पजाब अधिनियम 7 ) के अधीन गठित पजाव विश्वविद्यालय , पजाब राज्य मे पटियाला , सगरूर, भटिंडा और रोपड जिलो के क्षेत्रों में कार्य करना बंद कर देगा ।
