NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 12th September 1969
S.O. 3750/ IDRA/ 29B/ 69.-In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - sections (1) and ( 2 ) of section 29B of the Industries ( Development and Regulation ) Act , 1951 ( 65 of 1951 ) , the Central Government hereby cancels the exemption granted to industrial undertakings engaged in the manufacture or production of sewing machines and components falling under entry " ( 5 ) Sewing and knitting machines" under the heading " 13. Commercial , Office and Household Equipment " in the First Schedule to the said Act, by the notification of the Government of India in the late Ministry of Industry No. S.O. 3793 / IDRA / 29B / 66 , dated the 13th December , 1966 , and specifies a period of three months from the date of publication of this notifica- tion as the pe iod after the expiry of which no owner in such industrial under- taking shall carry on the business of the undertaking except under and in accor- dance with a licence issued in this behalf by the Central Government, and in the case of a State Government , except under , and in accordance with , the pre- vious permission of the Central Government .
