New Delhi , the 12th September 1969
G.S.R. 2220.-In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 24 of the Pass- posts Act , 1967 ( 15 of 1967 ) , the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Passports Rules , 1967 , namely:-
1. (1 ) These rules may be called the Passports ( Second Amendment ) Rules , 1969 .
( 2 ) They shall come into force on the 3rd day of October , 1969 .
2. In Schedule I of the Passports Rules , 1967 ,-
(a) for Serial No. 1 and the entries relating thereto , the following shall be substituted , namely:-
The State of Maharashtra .
" 1 ( a ) Regional Passport Officer , Bombay , ( Regional Passport and Emirgration Office , Bombay)
Do.
(b) Assistant Passport Officer , Bombay , ( Regional Passport and Emigration Office , Bombay) .
Do.
( c) Public Relations Officer , Bombay , ( Regional Passport and Emigration Office , Bombay)

(b) Serial No. 2 shall be renumbered as Serial No. 3 and before Serial No. 3 so renumbered the following Serial No. and entries shall be substituted , namely :
" 2 (a) Regional Passport Officer , Ahmedabad , (Regional Passport Office, Ahmedabad)
The State of Gujarat and the Union terri- tory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli .
(b) Assistant Passport Officer , Ahmedabad , (Regional Passport Office , Ahmedabad ) .
The State of Gujarat and the Union terrı- tory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli .

(c) Public Relations Officer , Ahmedabad , (Regional Passport Office , Ahmedabad) .
(c) Serial No.3 shall be renumbered as Serial No. 4 and for Serial No. 4 so renumbered and the entries relating thereto the following shall be substituted , namely :-
"4 ( a ) Regional Passport Officer , Delhi , ( Regional Passport and Emigration Office , New Delhi ) .
The Union territory of Delhi and the States of Jammu and Kashmir and Rajasthan .

(d) Serial Nos . 4 and 5 shall be renumbered as Serial Nos . 6 and 7 respectively and before Serial No. 6 so renumbered , the following Serial No. and entries shall be substituted. namely :-
"5 ( a) Regional Passport Officer , Chandigarh , (Regional Passport Office , Chandigarh) .
The Union territories of Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh and the States of Punjab and Haryana .

(b) Assistant Passport Officer , Chandigarh , ( Regional Passport Office , Chandigarh) .

(c) Public Relations Officer , Chandigarh , (Regional Passport Office , Chandigarh) .

(e) Serial Nos . 6, 7 and 8 shall be renumbered as Serial Nos . 8 , 9 and 10 respectively and for Serial No. 8 so renumbered and the entries relating shall be substituted , namely :- thereto , the following
