New Delhi, the 21st September 1969
S.O. 3841—Whereas requests have been received by the Central Government from the manufactures of motor cars for an increase in the prices of motor car manufactured by them. And, whereas the question of determination of fair prices of motor cars had the Central Government to the Tariff Commission under clause (d) of section 12 of the Tariff Commission Act 1951 (50 of 1951); clause And whereas the recommendations of the Tariff Commission have been re- ceived by the Central Government; Commission have been re-
And, whereas, after consideration of the recommendations of theTariffCom- mission, the Central Government has determined the fair prices at which the motor cars manufactured by the said manufacturers shall be bought or sold;
*3crnmciL hereby maKes the following Order further to amena the Motor Cais (JJisiriuution and Sale) Control Oraer, 1959, naruely—
1. (I) This Older may be called the Tvj.ul.or Can, (Distribution and Sale) Con- trol (Ainenument) Order, 1069.
(J,) It shall come into Iqrce at once.
2. Li the Motor Cars (Distribution and Sale) Control Order, 1959 (herein- aiter reierred LO as tnc said Order), atter clause 4, the; following clauses shah ue insetted, namely: —
"4A. Control oj price.—-No manufacturer or dealer shall, after the com- mencement of the Motor Cars (Distribution and Bale) Control (Amendment) Order,, 1989, sell or offer to sell or otherwise transter, or dispose of, a motor car, lor a price exceeding the price specified in Schedule I.
