MINISTRY OF FOREIGN TRADE AND SUPPLY (Department of Foreign Trade) RESOLUTION New Delhi,, the 23rd September, 969
No. 7(l)-MDF/69.—Under their Resolution No. 10(l)/EP(Coord)/l dated the 5th July, 1963, the erstwhile Ministry of Commerce and Industry, (Department of International Trade) had established the Marketing Development Fund setting out the various forms of assistance which will be made available thereunder. The Government have now decided that the Fund may be utilised also for export assistance on local sales made against foreign credits resulting in foreign exchange accrual to the country. It has, therefore, become necessary to make consequential amendments in the aforesaid Resolution as follows: —
1. Para 2 of the Resolution may be amendment to read as 2(i). 2. Under Para 2(i) the following para may be added as para 2(ii).
"2(ii) The MDF will also be utilised for export assistance on local sales made against foreign credits resulting in foreign exchange accrual to the country."
3. Para 3 may be amended as follows:
The Fund will consist of the provisions made in the Central Budget under Grants for Export Promotion and Marketing Development Scheme and such other amounts as may be credited to the Fund from time to time.
