New Delhi , the 16th October 1969
S.O. 4225. Whereas a vacancy has occurred in the House of the People by reason of the resignation of Shri Sohan Singh elected to that House from 2 - Ferozepur Parliamentary Constituency in the State of Punjab ; Now, therefore, in pursuance of the provisions of sub - section ( 1 ) of section 149 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 ( 43 of 1951 ) , the Election Commission hereby calls upon the said constituency to elect before the 20th November , 1969 , in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the Rules and Orders made thereunder , a person to fill the vacancy so caused .

In pursuance of the provisions of section 30 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 , (43 of 1951 ) , the Election Commission hereby appoints , with respect to thethe bye - election to be held in 2 - Ferozepur Parliamentary Constituency in the State of Punjab in pursuance of its notification No. 100 / PB - HP /1 /69 ( 1 ) , lated the 16th October , 1969 :-
(a) the 23rd October , 1969 ( Thursday ) , as the last date for making nominations ;
(b ) the 24th October , 1969 ( Friday ) , as the date for the scrutiny of nomina- tions;
( c ) the 27th October, 1969 ( Monday ) , as the last date for the withdrawal of candidatures ;
(d) the 16th November, 1969 ( Sunday ) , as the date on which a poll shall , if necessary , be taken ; and
(e) the 20th November , 1969 ( Thursday ) , as the date before which the elec- tion shall be completed .

In pursuance of section 56 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , ( 43 of 1951 ) , the Election Commission hereby fixes the hours from 8.00 Α.Μ. to 4.00 P.M. as the hours during which a poll shall , if necessary, be taken for the bye- election to the House of the People from 2-Ferozepur Parliamentary Constituency to be held in pursuanceuance of its notification No. 100 / PB- HP /1 / 69 ( 1 ) , dated the 16th October , 1969 .

एस ० प्रो० 4228-यतः, पंजाब राज्य में के 2-फिरोजपुर संसदीय निर्वाचन क्षेत्र से लोक सभा के लिए निर्वाचित सदस्य श्री सोहन सिंह के त्याग पत्र दे दिए जाने के कारण लोक सभा में एक स्थान रिक्त हो गया है ;
अतः , अब , लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 ( 1951 को 43) की धारा 149 की उपधारा ( 1 ) के उपबन्धों के अनुसरण में निर्वाचन आयोग उक्त निर्वाचन क्षेत्र से एतद्वारा अपेक्षा करता है कि वे ऐसे हुई रिक्त को भरने के लिए 20 नवम्बर , 1969 से पूर्व , उक्त अधिनियम के और तब्धीन बनाए गए नियमों और श्रादेशों के उपबन्धों के अनुसार एक व्यक्ति निर्वाचित कर दें ।

एस ० प्रो० 4229-- लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 ( 1951 का 43 ) की धारा 30 के उपबन्धों के अनुसरण में निर्वाचन भायोग अपनी अधिसूचना सं ० 100/पंजाब -लो० स ० 1/69 ( 1 ) , तारीख 16 अक्टूबर , 1969 के अनुसरण में पंजाब राज्य में के 2- फिरोजपुर संसदीय निर्वाचन क्षेत्र से होने वाले उप- निर्वाचन के बारे में
(क ) नामनिर्देशन करने के लिए अन्तिम तारीख -- 23 अक्टूबर, 1969 ( गुरुवार ) ;
(ख) नामनिर्देशनों की संवीक्षा की तारीखा-- 24 अक्टूबर , 1969 ( शुक्रवार) ;
( ग) प्रथिता वापस लेने की अन्तिम तारीख- 27 अक्टूबर , 1969 ( सोमवार ) ;
( घ ) वह तारीख जिसको यदि आवश्यक हो, तो मतदान होगा-16 नवम्बर , 1969 (रविवार) , तथा
(ङ ) वह तारीख जिसके पूर्व निर्वाचन समाप्त कर दिया जाएगा -20 नवम्बर , 1969 (गुरुवार) ;
एसद्वारा नियत करता है ।

एस ० प्रो० 4230-लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 ( 1951 का 43 ) की धारा 56 के अनुसरण में निर्वाचन आयोग अपनी अधिसूचना सं ० 100 / पंजाब-लो० स ० / 1/69 ( 1 ) , तारीख 16 अक्टूबर, 1969 के अनुसरण में 2- फिरोजपुर संसदीय निर्वाचन क्षेत्र से लोक सभा के लिए होने वाले निर्वाचन के लिए 8.00 बजे पूर्वाल से 4.00 बजे अपराह्न तक का समय उस समय के रूप में एतद्वारा नियत करता है जिसके दौरान यदि आवश्यक हो तो , मतदान होगा ।
