G.S.R. 2469.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 14 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary so to do, hereby fixes with immediate effect, for the goods specified In column 2 of the Schedule annexed hereto and falling under Item No. 8(2) of the First Schedule to the Indian Tariff Act, 1934 (32 of 1934), the tariff values specified in the corresponding entry in column 3 thereof.

G.S.R. 2470.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) oi: section •25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India In the Ministry ol Finance (Department of Revenue and Insurance) No- 42-Customs, dated the is I Afarch, 1969> namely: —

In the said notification, for the figures and words "60 per cent of the value of such goods" the figures and words "60 per cent of the tariff value, or in the absence of any tariff value 60 per cent of the value" shall be substituted.
