No. 11 / ETO ( PN ) /69.Following the issue of a Silver coin of the denomination of Rs . 10/- with the effigy of Mahatma Gandhi , on the occasion of the birth cent- enary of Mahatma Gandhi in October , 1969 , it has been decided that the export of the Mahatma Gandhi coins of the ten - rupee denomination would be regulated as follows :-
Export of Silver ten - rupee coins ( with the effigy of Mahatma Gandhi ) , other than the 'Proof ' coins , would be allowed subject to a maximum export price of Rs . 13 / - per coin F.O.B. However , no licence will be necessary for export of such coins (viz . other than the ' Proof' coins)coins) as gifts . upto five pieces only . Passengers going abroad may also take with them for purposes of presentation upto five pieces of such coins
