G.S.R. 2752.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of sec- tion 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do hereby directs that the- following amendment shall be made in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue and Insurance) No. 49-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1969, namely: —
In the Table annexed to the said notification, in column (3) against description of article "(a) carpet backing" in serial No. 1, for the existing entry, the entry "Rs. 300 per tonne" shall be substituted.
