IMPORT TRADE CONTROL
New Delhi , the 24th December 1969
SUBJECT: Canalisation of imports through State Irading Corporation during April 1969- March 1970 .
No. 200 - ITC (PN) / 69 .--Attention is invited to Section IV of the Import Trade Control Policy (Red Book-Vol . I) for the period April 1969- March 1970 , containing the list of items the import ofwhich is canalised through the State Trading Corporation /Minerals & Metals Trading Corporation.
2. It has been decided that the following additional items may be included in Section IV of the Red Book (Vol . I) for the period April 1969- March 1970 and their imports canalised through the State Trading Corporation.
( i ) Sulphur ( S. No. 25 ( a)/V)
( ii ) Titanium dioxide ( S. No. 34-37 ( e) /V ) .

(iii ) Ammonium nitrate- technical grade ( S. No. 22 , 31 /V) .
( iv) Cresylic acid ( S. No. 22 , 31 /V) .
( v) Hops ( S. No. 41 / IV) .
3. The import policy for the above -mentioned items for the period April 1969---March 1970 may be deemed to have been amended accordingly.
SUBJECT: Import Policy for the period April 1969-March 1970
No. 20r - ITC ( PN ) / 69 . Attention of importers is invited to the import policy as contained in the Import Trade Control Policy ( Red Rock Vol . I) for the period April 1969-March 1970 .
2. As a result of the representations received , the import policy in respect of certain items has been reviewed and it has been decided to make the following amendments in the Import Trade Control Policy ( Red Book-- Vol . I ) for the period April 1969- March 1970 :-

The existing remark ( 2) may be deemed to have been substituted by the following remarks:
Section II , S. No. 44 ( a) / I , Column 4 .
" (2) A. U. for manufacture of Zinc Oxide .
(3) A. U. on restricted basis for industries other than those mentioned in remarks ( 1 ) and (2 ) above . Import will be allowed upto 25 % of the face value of the licence or Rs . 10,000 , whichever is less ."

The existing remark may be deemed to have been substituted by the following remarks:-
"A. U. for import of adhesive coated/ plain copper foil ." !
The existing remark may be deemed to have been subs- tituted by the following remark:-

The existing remark may be deemed to have been subs- tituted by the following remark :-
"A.U. on restricted basis for import of :-
(i ) Ethyl Cellulose .
( ii ) Methyl Cellulose ( Import of this item will be allowed upto 10% of the face value of the licence or Rs . 10,000 , whichever is less)" .

The existing remark ( iii ) may be deemed to have been substituted by the following remakrs :-
"( ili) Sheet glass of 0.5 mm thickness and below for manufacture of cover slips .
( iv) Sheet glass above 6.5mm , and below 0.8 mm . thickness on restricted basis for end uses other than cover slips ."
The following new remark ( 2) may be deemed to have been inserted-
71 Section II , S. No. 41 (v) /V , Column 4 .

The existing remark may be deemed to have been subs- tituted by the following remark:-
Section V , Appendix 41 , Schedule ' B '. Item No. 29 , Colu- mn 3 .
"50% of the requirements for o ' 45 m ( 27 SWG) to 0-27 mm ( 32 SWG ) dia , wire will be allow- ed to be imported straight away and the balance against N.A.C. from producers listed at S. Nos . 29 , 30 and 31 of Schedule 'E' , For sizes from 1.5 mm ( 17 SWG ) to about 0.45 mm ( 27 SWG ) dia . , import will be allowed against N.A.C. from the producerв referred to above ."

The existing remark (a) may be deemed to have been substituted by the following remark :-
Section V. Appen- dix 41 , Schedule ' D' , ItemNo. 12, Column 3 .
"(a) Import of hot rolled sheets thicker than 1.6 mm will be allowed to the extent the sponsoring authority certifles import essential after taking into after taking into account the stock position with the actual user , requirements of the sheets for the period and indigenous supply in the past one period . Import of cold rolled sheets will be allowed on certification by sponsoring authority that hot rolled sheets cannot be used as a substitute . "

After the existing entry , the following sentence may be deemed to have been added :-
Section V, Aрред- dix41 , Schedule ' D' , ItemNo. 20, Column 3 .
"However, import of hot rolled M.S. Sheet cuttings (other than G.P. and G.C. Sheet cuttings) in sizes thicker than 16mm will be allowed on certification of essentiality for import by the sponsoring authority . "
