S.O. 147. Whereas a vacancy has been caused in the Council of Statesates by the death of Shri Thazhava Kesavan , a member elected to the Council of States by the elected members of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Kerala , before the expiration of his term of office;
Now, therefore , in pursuance of the provisions of sub - section ( 1 ) of section 147 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission hereby calls upon the elected members of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Kerala to elect , in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the rules and orders made thereunder , a person to fill the vacancy so caused before the 2nd February , 1970 .

अन , अब , लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 की धारा 147 की उपधारा ( 1 ) के उपबन्धों के अनुसरण में निर्वाचन आयोग केरल राज्य की विधान सभा के निर्वाचित सदस्यों में एनद्वारा अपेक्षा करना है कि ये ऐमे हुई रिक्ति के भरने के लिये 2 फरवरी , 1970 से पूत्र , उक्त अधिनयम के और तद्धन चनाए गए नियनों और आदेशों के उपबन्धों के अनुसार एक व्यक्ति निर्वाचित कर दें ।

S.O. 148. In pursuance of the provisions of sub - section ( 1 ) of section 39 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 , the Election Commission hereby appoints for the election to thethe Council of States to be held in pursuance of its notification No. 100 / CS - KL / 7 / 69 ( 1 ) , dated the 12th January, 1970 :
(a) the 19th January , 1970 ( Monday ) as the last date for making nomina- tions:
( b ) the 20th January , 1970 ( Tuesday ) as the date for the scrutiny of nomi- nations;
( c) the 22nd January , 1970 ( Thursday ) as the last date for the withdrawal of candidatures;
( d ) the 30th January , 1970 ( Friday ) as the date on which a poll shall , if nccessary, be taken; and
( e ) the 2nd February , 1970 ( Monday ) as the date before which the elec- tion shall be completed .

( क ) नाम निर्देशन करने के लिये अन्तिम तारीख
19 जनवरी , 1970 (सोमवार) ;
(ख) नाम निर्देशो क। संत्रीक्षा की तारीख
20 जनवरी , 1970 (मंगलवार) ;
( ग) अर्थ्यायता वापस लेने की अन्तिम तारीख
22 जनवरी , 1970 (बृहस्पतिवार) ;
30 जनवरी , 1970 (घ) वह नारीख जिसको यदि आवश्यक हो, तो मतदान होगा नथा
(शुक्रवार)
( ङ ) वह तारीख जिसके पूर्व निर्वाचन समाप्त कर दिया जाएगा

In pursuance of section 56 of the Representation of the People Act . 1951, the Election Commission hereby fixes the hours from 10.00 A.M. to 4.00 Ρ.Μ. as the hours during which a poll shall, if necessary , be taken for the election to the Council of States to be held in pursuance of its notification No. 100 / CS- KL / 7 / 69 ( 1 ) , dated the 12th January , 1970 .

एस ० श्रो ० 149 .--लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 की धारा 56 के अनुमरण में निर्वाचन आयोग अपनी अधिसूचना सं ० 100. रा ० सं ० -केरल 7/69 ( 3 ) तारीख 12 जनवरी , 1970 के अनुसरण में राज्य सभा के लिए होने वाले निर्वाचन के लिए 10 बजे पूर्वाल ये 4 बजे अपराह्न तक का समय उस समय के रूप में एतद्द्वारा निथत करता है जिनके दौरान यदि आवश्यक हो तो , मदतान होगा ।

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 21 of the Represen- tation of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission , in consultation with the Government of Kerala , hereby designates the Secretary , Kerala Legislative Assembly , Trivandrum , to be the Returning Officer for the election to the Coun- cil of States to be held in pursuance of its notification No. 100 / CS - KL /7 / 69 ( 1 ) , duted the 12th January , 1970 .

एस ० ओ ० 150.-लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 की धारा 21 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए निर्वाचन आयोग केरल मरकार के परामर्ज से , अपनी अधिसूचना सं ० 100 ग स ० . केरल . / 7 / 69 ( 1 ) तारीख 12 जनवरी 1970 के अनुसरण में राज्य सभा के लिए होने वाले निर्वाचन के लिए केरल विधान सभा , तिरूबनन्तपुरम के सचिव को रिटर्निंग ऑफिसर के रूप में एतद्वारा पदाभिहित करता है ।

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 1 ) of section 22 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission hereby appoints the Joint Secretary , Kerala Legislative Assembly , Trivandrum to assist the Returning Officer for the election to the Council of States to be held in pursu- ance of its notification No. 100 / CS - KL / 7 / 69 ( 1 ) , dated the 12th January , 1970 , in performance of his functions .
