S.O. 320.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause (ix) of clause (a) of sub-section (1) of section 2 of the Essential Services Maintenance Art, 1968 (59 of 1968), the Central Government, being of opinion that strike in any service connected with conservancy and sewage disposal in the Union Territory of Delhi [not being any such service falling under Sub-clause (viii) of clause (a) aforesaid would result in the infliction of grave hardship on the community, hereby declares every such service to be an essential service for the purposes of the said Act.
