ORDER
New Delhi, the 24th January 1970
G.S.R. 157.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955). the Central Government hereby makes the follow- ing Order further to amend the Madhya Pradesh Rice Procurement (Levy) Order, 1960, namely:—
1. (1) This Order may be called the Madhya Pradesh Rice Procurement (Levy) Amendment Order, 1970.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
2. In the Madhya Pradesh Rice Procurement (Levy) Order, 1960, in clause 3, to item (b) of sub-clause (1) the following proviso shall be added, namely: —
32 T HE G A Z E T TE OF I N D IA E X T R A O R D I N A RY [PART i i —S EC 3(,ii) an agricultural labourer, hut of the stocks of paddy earned by him as wiges on tho following conditions; —
(a) that he shall not mill more than three quintals of paddy at a time and in a month, an4
(b) that he shall produce a certificate from the Sarpanch of the Gram Panchayat or a member of Municipal Board/Committee of the ward where he resides, to the effect that the pad'dy to be milled is required for his personal con- sumption.
