New Delhi, the 23rd February 1970

S.O.718.-In pursuance of clause (d) of section 280Yof the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Depart- ment of Revenue & Insurance) No. S.O. 3419. dated the 22nd September, 1967 [published at pages 1585-1586 of Part II, Section 3-Sub-section (ii) of the Gazette of India Extraordinary, dated 22nd September, 1967], namely;—

In the Schedule to the said notification, for the word "Madras" in column (2) against Serial No. 5, the words "Tamil Nadu" shall be substituted.
