New Delhi , the 27th February 1970
S.O. 829. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 2 ) of section 1 of the Motor Vehicles ( Amendment ) Act , 1969 ( 56 of 1969 ) , the Central Government . hereby appoints 2nd day of March , 1970 , as the date on which the provisions other than those contained in sections 9 and 13 , clause ( a ) of section 16 , clause ( b ) of section 17 , clause ( e) of section 29 , sections 33 , 34. 36 and 37 , sub - clause ( i ) of clause ( a) of section 41 , sections 44 , 45 , 56 , 76 and 82 of the said Act shall come into force .
